We are a dynamic and progressive secondary academy in Shirehampton, Bristol. The Role
This is an exciting on-site opportunity to oversee the effective operational running of the Academy, with responsibility for Health & Safety and Data Protection as well as an interface between the Academy and its PFI Partners (Bristol City Council and BAM) and the national services IT, Finance, People, Marketing & Communications and Property & Estates.
This is a full time / all-year-round role with 34 days of holiday (26+8)
The Successful Candidate
- Has excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships
- Has recent experience of working within education setting
- Is able to demonstrate awareness of legislation relating to Health and Safety and Data Protection
- is able to demonstrate strong care guidance and support for groups and individuals
- Is a good team player
- Thrives in fast-paced environments and is able to multitask with quickly changing priorities
- Has (as a desirable) at least 1 year of proven experience of working in a supervisory role with a line management responsibility in a diverse, high-profile service-oriented organisation
- is a competent IT user (word processing, spreadsheets and databases, and presentational graphics packages) equivalent to level 2 Integrated Business Technology. In addition, posses knowledge and experience in the practical application of Inter-& Intra-Net, and electronic mail.
- has proven achievement in co-ordinating a range of diverse projects and managing conflicting priorities under general direction, and within strict time frames (often determined by others)
- has emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours and attitudes
- is willing to model and support the Oasis ethos
