We are a large primary school in Henbury, north Bristol with over 70 members of staff and 455 children, including a Nursery.

Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Class Teachers to join our team. Successful candidates will play a vital role in planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire our children. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure our curriculum is ambitious, broad, and well-sequenced, meeting the diverse needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote high levels of progress and achievement for all children.

· Assess and monitor children’s learning, providing effective feedback that moves learning forward.

· Employ diverse teaching strategies to support all children, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.

· Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, investing in the school’s commitment to a culture of belonging, kindness, and respect.

· Contribute to the wider life of the school by supporting extracurricular activities and participating in school events.

· Stay current with educational developments and share best practice with colleagues.
