Days/Hours: Term Time Only, Monday-Friday, 11:40am-12:50pm = 6.25 hours per week 

Salary: BG4, N3 FTE £24,796 (Actual £3,583.02)

Henbury Court Primary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated individual to assist during lunchtimes. To ensure that during lunchtimes pupils are safe, have eaten healthy and nutritious lunches, are stimulated and engaged and are refreshed and ready for afternoon learning when they return to their classes.

Role Purpose:

  • Supervising pupils over the lunchtime period 
  • Leading and taking part in games and activities with pupils 
  • Encouraging children to eat their meals 
  • Dealing with behavioural incidents in line with the schools Behaviour policy and discussing concerns with class teachers or members of the Senior Leadership Team. 
  • Dealing with first aid incidents at lunch time 
  • Playing a key part in the school’s health and safety processes 
  • Helping children interact positively with one another during lunchtimes 

 Shortlisting Criteria

  • Be willing to engage with and create professional relationships with the children to aid their school day.
  • Have an understanding of Safeguarding in a school setting.
  • Be willing to engage in training and professional development.
  • Be professional, friendly, and helpful to colleagues and parents at all times.
  • Be a positive role model to the children in terms of personal presentation, timekeeping and behaviour.
  • Be constantly alert and take a practical approach to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils.
