The Governors at St Peter's C of E Primary School are looking for a positive, reliable, committed, energetic and enthusiastic person who enjoys being busy and working with others. The ability to work well as part of a team is essential.

You will be responsible for supervising a class of children both inside and outside during the lunch hour, maintaining good behaviour at all times, encouraging healthy eating and helping pupils whilst eating their lunch where necessary, supervising play sessions and engaging with our young community.  

This post would suit someone who enjoys playing games, being active and making our children happy.

This is a Fixed Term Contract until 31.03.2027 but there is a possibility that it will be extended beyond this date.

About our School

Our school is set in fabulous and spacious grounds in South Bristol. We have three playgrounds and two areas that are specially set up for our Early Years Children. We have allotments, climbing and adventure equipment, an arboretum, a secret garden, large playing fields and our very own cycle track. With two buildings we also have plenty of space inside. We have two halls, a fully fitted cookery room with four cooking stations and a relaxing grassed courtyard. Children in the Foundation Stage and KS1 (Infants) are in one building and children in KS2 (Juniors) are in another building. We also have an ‘Eco Pod’ which is a fun and exciting space for children to learn in – it even has a slide inside!

We are a very hard working friendly primary school that sets high standards and expectations for staff and children.

The successful candidate must:

  • be able to work 6.25 hours a week
  • be able to work lunchtimes Monday – Friday (12.00pm-1.10pm)
  • be able to attend a termly meeting (1.15pm-2.15pm)
  • be approachable, organised and an excellent communicator
  • meet the essential criteria as laid out in the employee specification
