We are looking for a Second in Department for Maths to support curriculum development, staff mentoring and raising achievement across a thriving mathematics department.

 Key responsibilities:

Teach Maths across relevant key stages, planning and delivering high quality lessons

Support the Head of Department in the strategic leadership of the Maths department

Contribute to curriculum design, sequencing and assessment to raise standards and outcomes

Support monitoring of teaching, learning and student progress within the department

Help promote high expectations, consistent behaviour and positive attitudes to learning


Pay range:

M1 - UPS3 - £32,916.00 - £51,048.00

Plus TLR 2A - £3,527.00

32.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Permanent


Qualifications and Skills:

Qualified Teacher Status (or recognised equivalent)

Strong subject knowledge in Maths

Excellent classroom practice with high expectations for all learners

Curriculum and assessment understanding across relevant key stages

Data literacy: able to analyse progress and attainment to inform action
