Oasis Academy New Oak are seeking to appoint a Teacher for our ASD Resource Base, who will be able to make a positive contribution to the continuing development of our Academy. You will be a vital part of a friendly, motivated team in the Academy. Experience of working with children with Autism preferably within a Resource Base or Special School context.

 Main Role

• Resource Base Teacher for pupils statemented to the ASD Specialist Resource Base

• To liaise with the New Oak team staff to ensure positive opportunities for inclusion.

• To liaise with parents/carers

• To support and sustain the academy’s visions and ethos

• To work within the DFE Teacher Standards

• To work with outside agencies and contribute to the associated paper work.

Hours of Work: Full time 

Salary: M1 - M6, plus SEN1 allowance (£2,539)

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: 1st September 2024

Pupils flourish in the nurturing culture at OA New Oak which embraces inclusivity and values everyone for their individuality. Provision for pupils who have high-level special educational needs is strong – there are two specialist resource bases, one for children with autism and one for deaf learners. Oasis Academy New Oak is a primary academy in Hengrove [South Bristol] which currently serves just over 200 young people.

Our last Ofsted inspection was in June 2022 where we were judged to be a ‘Good’ school with ‘Outstanding’ in Personal Development.
