This is because at BCCS we are: Gathered together, that all may thrive. We do this by living out our three core values in all that we say and do. These are: Kindness, Courage and Hope.

Applications are invited from charismatic, enthusiastic and suitably qualified teachers for this exciting, and rewarding post within our Art and Design department. We particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups, as we seek to ensure our staff body reflects the diversity of our student population. The postholder will be expected to teach across all art disciplines and we are especially interested in applicants who can teach Graphic Design or Textiles (Art) at GCSE. We welcome applications from newly qualified and experienced teachers.

The Art and Design Department

BCCS has a vibrant and dynamic school art department, where creativity knows no bounds. If you are an art teacher with a passion for nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of innovation, then look no further - we are searching for someone like you to join our team.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, our staff team thrives on working together, pooling our diverse skills and experiences to inspire each other and pushing the boundaries of artistic excellence.

We are firm believers in achievement for all. Learning doesn't stop within the four walls of the classroom. Our department organises a wide range of trips and visits, where possible and throughout the year, to museums, galleries, and cultural landmarks. These experiences not only enrich our students’ understanding of art but also foster a deeper appreciation for the world around them.

Diversity and representation are woven into the fabric of our curriculum. From exploring art from different cultures and time periods to celebrating the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of our students, we strive to create an inclusive environment where every voice is heard and valued.
