Are you passionate about creating safe, engaging and nurturing environments where children can thrive beyond the school day?

Air Balloon Hill Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and dedicated Wraparound Care Manager to lead and develop our Breakfast Club and After-School Club provision. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a high-quality service that supports children, families and the wider school community.

As our Wraparound Care Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of our wraparound provision, ensuring it is safe, inclusive, enjoyable and financially sustainable. You will lead a team of playworkers, oversee safeguarding during sessions, manage operations and finances, and continually develop the service to meet the changing needs of children and families.

Working closely with the School Business Manager and senior leaders, you will play a key role in ensuring children enjoy a calm and positive start to the school day and a stimulating, purposeful end to it.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience of leading or supervising staff in a childcare, education or play work setting.

• Enjoys working with children, can build warm, positive relationships and is passionate about children's wellbeing, development and inclusion.

• Is organised and reliable, with high expectations for safeguarding, child protection, safety, routines and standards.

• Can organise engaging activities that support children's interests, social development and wellbeing.

• Is confident managing budgets, bookings, attendance records and administrative systems.

• Communicates effectively with children, families, staff and external agencies.

• Can lead, organise and support other staff effectively whilst motivating and developing a team, promoting high standards and continuous improvement.

• Is able to use their initiative and respond appropriately to the different situations that can arise within a busy childcare setting

First Aid and Food Hygiene training are also desirable, although training can be provided.

Our Wrap-Around Care provision operates Monday to Friday during term time:

• Breakfast Club: 7:30am – 8:45am

• After-School Club: 3:15pm – 6:00pm

The expectation is that the successful candidate will typically work:

• 7:15am – 9:15am (Breakfast Club)

• 3:00pm – 6:00pm (After-School Club)

The remaining contracted hours are allocated to administration, planning and preparation time, to be worked flexibly in agreement with the School Business Manager to meet the needs of the school and provision.

This role could be offered on a job-share basis to the right candidates.

Application Closing Date: 12noon on Friday 6th November 2026

Interview Date: Monday 16th November 2026
