Little Mead Primary Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented teacher with phase leader responsibilities from September 2024. This is an exciting time to become part of the team as the school has recently merged with Trust in Learning Academies (TiLA) which offers plentiful opportunities for collaborative working on exciting and innovative initiatives.

The role will include leading teaching and learning across the designated Phase (Years 1 and Year 2) with a focus on improving pupil outcomes. You will work closely with the Headteacher and members of senior leadership team to secure exceptionally high standards in all curriculum areas.

  • is a highly organised and effective classroom practitioner, who understands and can demonstrate quality first teaching;
  • Has experience of leading a phase or team to secure high standards of teaching and learning;
  • the ability to work calmly under pressure and to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances/situations.
  • An Understanding of strategies for teaching and learning related to special educational needs. 
  • has the highest expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour;
  • is able to motivate and inspire, supporting and promoting the visions and values of the school;
  • is keen to develop professional expertise;
  • is creative, flexible and has a sense of humour;
  • enjoys working with supportive parents, experienced colleagues and the wider community
