Brockington College is a highly successful 11-16 college, where students enjoy ‘learning to live life to the full’. We have recently become a member of Embrace Multi Academy Trust, which aims to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our stakeholders, including members of staff.

We require a number of teaching assistants to join our existing team in August 2022, working 27.5 hours per week (fixed term for one year in the first instance). The posts will involve supporting a range of students across the curriculum in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidates will work under the direction and supervision of a teacher, to assist with teaching and learning and associated activities, in accordance with school policies and procedures. If candidates are experienced/qualified to a higher level, we would consider a grade 6 post but also have grade 5 posts available for those who may be moving from other roles and are looking for a new challenge. These roles will provide variety, challenge and the reward of knowing that you are making a significant contribution in the development of Brockington College and ultimately a difference to the life chances of our students.

The appointments provide a fantastic opportunity for a suitably qualified candidate in a school that values its members of staff. Our members of staff are incredibly hard working and caring and we expect all employees to adopt these standards and support the values and ethos of the college, of which we are very proud.

Brockington College is a Church of England Academy, attended by students from a variety of faith backgrounds and our strong Christian ethos is the firm foundation for all that we do. Our modern college building provides state-of-the-art facilities that make a strong contribution to teaching standards and to student and staff well-being. Members of staff enjoy a range of CPD and INSET opportunities, a robust support system for ECTs, free car parking, weekly sports opportunities and voluntary prayer meetings, alongside other wellbeing opportunities The school runs a wide variety of enrichment opportunities for students, as well as a range of residential trips, which members of staff support both near and far, from the Forest of Dean and Norfolk to Iceland, Kenya and China.
