Melksham House School, part of Brunel Education, is a specialist provision that provides education for children and young people with complex social, emotional and/or mental health or medical needs which have prevented them from successfully engaging in or attending school. We are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all our pupils, aged 4 to 18. Our focus is on children and young people who present with an Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) profile, and we understand that everyone is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and needs.
We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Senior Pupil Coach (Senior Teaching Assistants) to play a key role in supporting the development of our nurturing and high-impact learning environment.
We’re looking for people who:
- Have substantial experience working with children or young people in an educational or pastoral setting
- Have a strong understanding of SEN, trauma-informed practice, or behaviour support (training will also be provided)
- Can communicate with clarity, compassion, and confidence
- Are solution-focused, emotionally resilient, and driven by a belief in every child’s potential
- Hold relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 Literacy/Numeracy, any Level 3 qualification)
