Buckingham Primary School is a happy and caring school at the heart of the community in Hampton, London. An opportunity has arisen for a pro-active and well-organised individual to fill this rewarding role, in order to ensure children attend school regularly and achieve their learning goals.
We are looking for a friendly, flexible person who has experience of providing strong and effective administrative support within a fast-paced environment. Working effectively under pressure and reporting to the Senior leadership Team, responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and acting immediately on problems relating to student attendance and punctuality
- Maintaining school MIS, applying GDPR principles to the management of data and producing reports as requested
- Communicating clearly and appropriately with ‘at risk’ learners and their families in person and over the telephone
- Liaising as needed with Education Welfare Officer on absence queries
With excellent communication and teamwork skills and a high level of computer literacy, you will be able to support the Business Manager and Office Team with general administrative tasks:
- Provide a warm, confident welcome for all visitors
- Answer telephone calls, providing professional and courteous customer service
- Manage the arrival of visitors including support with the sign-in system, and implementing agreed safeguarding procedures
Experience of working effectively in a school setting is desirable, as is experience of liaising with all levels of school staff, governors, pupils and third party suppliers. You should also have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, and an enthusiasm for working with young people.
