Buckler's Mead Academy wish to appoint people who can work confidently and efficiently as invigilators, readers and scribes to support the Exams Officer and our students at busy exam times. Full training will be provided for all roles and you can be assured of support to help you effectively meet the students’ needs.
This is a term time only, casual post and would be the perfect role for someone who is recently retired or has suitable available flexible time.
Mock exams take place in March 2023 and the main summer exam period starts in May 2023, continuing until the end of June. There are also a number of internal exams at other times during the year.
Duties include handing out and collecting exam papers, ensuring that candidates are seated according to the seating plan and overseeing the exam. Readers and Scribes support candidates by reading exam paper instructions and questions and scribing answers as required.
In return we can offer you the opportunity to work with motivated students, the full support of a dedicated and committed team of staff, a supportive induction programme and ongoing training, plus the chance to work in a developing academy in a beautiful area of the South West. Staff benefits include free on-site parking and a selection of meals, snacks (hot and cold) and drinks available for staff to purchase at lunch and break times.

We seek to recruit dedicated and talented staff, highly committed to making a difference. We are part of the Midsomer Norton Schools’ Partnership – a highly successful Multi Academy Trust, often considered the ‘market leader’ in the South West for school improvement.
