Burhill School is a vibrant community school committed to providing high quality education. We are looking to appoint a creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated teaching assistant to join our team. 

The successful candidate will work with the class teacher to deliver our inspiring and engaging creative curriculum. You will work with the whole class, small groups and individual children. You will be well educated, able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, and able to contribute to a creative and innovative curriculum in which first hand, memorable experiences underpin successful progress for all pupils. The ability to embrace the schools caring ethos is also essential. You will be required to work 15 hours per week during term time, there is an opportunity to work additional hours if required.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or above
  • A proven ability to work on their own initiative.
  • A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
  • The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • A commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
