Spread your wings and fly high!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Class Teacher at our happy, thriving and ambitious school.  Whether you are looking for a new opportunity, have experience of working within Year 2 or are at the start of your teaching career, this fixed term contract may well lead to a permanent role on the staffing team.  We have an excellent track record in supporting ECTs, and staff wellbeing is a genuine priority. Please see our attached Approach to Workload document for details.

“My NQT year at Burpham was a rewarding journey and I felt supported and valued throughout.”

“A friendly and supportive environment with plenty of opportunities to develop your teaching practice and grow as a professional.”

We aspire to help every child in our care to develop as a whole person, to love learning and achieve more than they ever thought possible.

If you…

  • Believe that all children have limitless potential
  • Dislike the language of fixed ability and the notion of setting
  • Value research and evidence to support your teaching and learning
  • Think marking is overrated and feedback comes in many forms
  • Understand that data is just part of the bigger picture

and would like to work with like-minded colleagues in a forward thinking school, then we can offer you:

  • Enthusiastic, happy and confident children who want to learn
  • Excellent opportunities for professional development and a genuine commitment to staff wellbeing
  • A happy school with a hard-working, supportive and friendly team
  • A positive and inclusive environment where a sense of humour is valued!

Burpham Primary School is a school within the Learning Partners Academy Trust for children between the ages of four and eleven with a Specialist KS1 Communication and Interaction Needs Centre.
