Actual Annual Salary: £17,842 - £19,465 (Based on actual hours/working weeks)
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £33,009 - £36,011 (CLF Grade D) Based on 37 hours per week, all year round
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part-Time, 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:45am – 11:45am, some flexibility can be offered, with the preferred working arrangement to be discussed with the successful candidate)
Provisional Start Date: October 2026 – on completion of pre employment checks.

Airfield Primary Academy is seeking a dedicated Premises Manager to play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. Based at our new Weston-super-Mare academy, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the buildings, grounds and facilities are well maintained, compliant and fit for learning.

Please note, this position is at a new Academy and has the potential for increased hours as the Academy expands.
You will:
- Manage the day-to-day maintenance, repair and upkeep of the academy site.
- Carry out compliance checks and planned preventative maintenance.
- Ensure the security of the site, including opening and closing procedures.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and external service providers.
- Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety.
- Support the smooth running of the academy through effective premises management.
About You
You will have:
- Experience in premises management, facilities management or site maintenance.
- A good understanding of building maintenance, compliance testing and health & safety requirements.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Good communication and IT skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- A relevant premises management qualification/training, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience.

About Airfield Primary Academy:
Airfield Primary Academy is a new primary school opening in September 2026 on the former Weston Airfield site in Haywood Village, Weston-Super-Mare. The school will serve the local community of Haywood Village, a growing development of around 6,500 homes, and will form an integral part of the area’s educational provision.
The academy will open initially with 30 Reception pupils, growing year by year to accommodate up to 630 pupils when full. In addition, the site will include a 102‑place nursery offering all‑year‑round provision for children aged 2–4, with separate access and a dedicated kitchen.
The purpose‑built school will be set within extensive outdoor spaces designed to support learning and play, including nature areas, grass and all‑weather sports pitches and shared community sports facilities. These resources will help establish the academy as a vibrant hub for both education and community life.
