Play a key role in strengthening financial excellence across our dynamic, multi-academy trust.
This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking finance function, where your expertise will directly contribute to strong financial management, informed decision making, and improved outcomes for staff and students across the Cabot Learning Federation. In this key role, you’ll support Finance Managers and Academy Finance Assistants across the trust, taking ownership of month-end processes, reconciliations, financial analysis and maintaining robust internal controls.
You’ll build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels, offering expert advice on financial procedures, ensuring compliance with CLF Financial Regulations, and providing training to staff on systems and processes. With responsibilities spanning 40 entities, this is a fast-paced role where accuracy, professionalism and the ability to manage changing priorities are essential. If you’re confident handling sensitive information, enjoy problem-solving, and want to make a positive impact across our academies, we’d love to hear from you.
About you:
You will have:
- A solid understanding of finance processes, including financial regulations, organisational systems, and month‑end procedures.
- Experience working with financial systems, maintaining accurate records, and analysing data with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present information professionally and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Strong organisational, planning, and time‑management abilities, enabling you to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel and other administrative tools, with the ability to work independently and use initiative when needed.
