Cabot Learning Federation is seeking a Centre Manager to join our supportive and talented team at Engage, Snowdon Village.

The Centre Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of one of our dedicated Snowdon Village academies, ensuring the smooth and effective running of all aspects of the provision. Reporting to the Principal, they will translate strategic priorities into action, delivering the academy’s vision with energy, clarity and impact. The postholder will also collaborate across all four provisions, fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation and excellence among staff.

Candidates will be passionate about transforming education and will make an active contribution to the development of the Federation. We are looking for an innovative and creative Centre Manager who can support the academic, vocational and SEND aspects of the curriculum, integrating the diverse resources available across the city into a truly bespoke offer.

You will lead an established team of pastoral and teaching staff who are committed to improving the life choices of our young people.

About you:

You will:

  • Be a qualified teacher or hold an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have knowledge of strategies to engage vulnerable learners, including those at risk of disengagement or exclusion.
  • Have knowledge of inclusion strategies and promoting equity, diversity, and positive learning environments.
  • Be proven in experience of operational leadership and management within an educational setting, ideally with experience of alternative provision or working with vulnerable students.
  • Hold experience in policy development, risk assessment, and compliance in relation to Health & Safety and safeguarding.
  • Be passionate about improving the life chances of children and young people.
  • Have the ability to establish rapport and maintain respectful, trusting relationships with students, families, staff, and external partners.
  • Highly competent in all elements of the Teachers’ Standards and your achievements and contribution will be substantial and sustained as a leader.

About Snowdon Village:

Snowdon Village is a multi-site, cross-phase alternative provision that sits within the heart of the CLF. The Snowdon Village sites include The Nest, Engage, Bristol Futures Academy and City School.

Our primary aim is to meet the needs of children and young adults who have social, emotional and mental health issues by offering a suite of alternatives to mainstream school. Members of Snowdon Village may engage with the provision in a variety of ways, from long-term residential care to short-term, part-time alternatives which complement their existing school experience.
