Haywood Village Academy will have children in Pre-school to Year 6 for the first time since we opened the school with 32 children in 2016. We have grown and achieved so much and that is credit to the staff, children, parents and relationship with colleagues across the Cabot Learning Federation. We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Class Teacher into our upper key stage 2. If you are passionate about leading a class of children through an excellent standard of teaching and learning, alongside highly committed staff, we want to hear from you. Excellent teachers with experience of teaching in key stage 2 or want to teach in Key Stage 2 or teachers either at the start or early in their career should apply.

We are passionate about learning and have a highly effective teaching team. We are looking for a class teacher who cares about children, is highly ambitious for what all children can achieve and will invest their energy and expertise into the role alongside their colleagues. This opportunity could suit an experienced teacher looking for their next challenge. There are opportunities, if desired, for leadership in our school. This opportunity could, equally, suit a teacher starting or who has already started their career. The team at HVA are eager to recruit a colleague that will work well with them and support the vision of school, and that includes contributing to the development of the school.

This role is offered on a fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

Your opportunity:

We can offer you the opportunity to advance your career within a supportive academy environment. We provide excellent training and development opportunities within the Federation, including a full induction programme for early career and experienced teachers. Training is both local and/or delivered through our excellent stand-alone training facility at the CLF Institute. For teachers, the CLF Institute aims to provide a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT), for Early Career Teachers (ECT), recently qualified teachers in their early career development, to successive stages of leadership through to Headship and beyond.

What we are looking for:

We look for passionate individuals who want to be a part of transforming education and will make an active contribution to the development of the Cabot Learning Federation and chosen Academy. You will be used to planning and consistently delivering high quality lessons, will have experience in delivering the curriculum in your chosen area and will be a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change and motivate colleagues and students. A well-qualified specialist, holding QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, you will have the ability to teach Key Stage 1- Key Stage 2. We look for professionals who have excellent class management skills and have high expectations of work and behaviour.
