Finance Manager

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our supportive and talented central team within the Cabot Learning Federation. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.

This position will start from January 2021 and is a fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave ending on 31 March 2022 or on the post holders return.

 What we are looking for:

We are looking for individuals with strong accounting skills, good business partnering ability, a positive attitude and a commitment to support our journey towards continuous improvement. This role would be ideal for those looking to continue their career in education/public sector or those in the private sector looking to diversify their experience in a public sector organisation. To be successful in the post, the Finance Manager will be responsible for preparing, supporting and delivering financial management across a number of CLF academies in conjunction with the Principal. You will also be an important addition to support a range of projects where we are reviewing our processes and systems.  

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be based centrally and also within your academies with a focus on budget setting, management accounts production and project work. You will provide professional capacity to the Finance Manager Team and support your academies in a varied and wide-ranging role, ensuring effective management and reporting.
