Cabot Learning Federation is a Multi Academy Trust responsible for the education of 12,000 pupils across 21 Academies within the Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare area. We employ 2,000 colleagues who provide a great educational experience for our pupils.

We are seeking an inspiring, Head of Communications to join our supportive and talented team. This role is offered 37 hours per week, all year round.  

Your opportunity: 

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of Communications is the strategic lead for all internal and external communications for a range of stakeholders. This includes staff communications, media press releases, marketing, websites and social media. You will create a clear strategy for all communication activity across the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) and will work constructively with senior leaders to ensure alignment to the overall strategy.

What we are looking for:

As the Head of Communications, you will be an exceptional communicator and a strong leader with experience in both internal and external communications. You will ensure that the CLF brand is championed, internal messages are effective, efficient and well understood and that the Trust is promoted positively via externally media. 

You will lead the Communications team, who will deliver the objectives within the strategy which will be a blend of:

• direct leadership of Federation wide communications and

• supporting academies and other teams in their communications

Using your professional judgement, you will maximise the opportunities provided to communicate through a range of media ensuring the CLF benefits from a positive profile.

Whilst your role will primarily be home or office based within the King’s Oak Academy site you will be expected to work across all Cabot Learning Federation Academies if required.
