Cabot Learning Federation is a Multi Academy Trust responsible for the education of 12,000 pupils across 21 Academies within the Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare area. We employ 2,000 colleagues who provide a great educational experience for our pupils.

We are seeking an inspiring HR Operations Manager to join our supportive and talented team as a maternity cover from January to December 2021.   

This position will close prior to the closing date if sufficient applications are received. 

Your opportunity:  

Reporting to the HR Director you will be responsible for a team of 12 people delivering HR transactional services across the Federation including resourcing, HR administration, liaison with our external payroll provider, HR data, pensions and supply cover. The team was created in February 2019, and has developed into a high performing team with a reputation for excellent customer focus in all areas of their work.   

This strong platform provides a great opportunity to lead the HR operational activity, develop the team and to become involved in a wide variety of interesting projects both within your immediate team and beyond.   

Alongside the HR Operations team are the Employee Relations and Projects activities respectively led by experienced HR professionals who also report to the HR Director and who you will work alongside.    

What we are looking for:   

You will be a great leader who is able to quickly build strong working relationships and work positively with all team members. This is a fast-paced role within which you will be required to work flexibly and respond to changing demands. You must be cognisant of the internal and external factors affecting organisational performance and intuitively respond where needed to support the overall aims of the Federation.    

You will have a natural ability to effectively design and develop new and existing systems and processes. In addition, your ability to confidently negotiate with external service/system provides and hold them to account for service delivery will be essential.   

Whilst your role will primarily be home or office based within the King’s Oak Academy site you will be expected to work across all Cabot Learning Federation Academies if required.
