The Cabot Learning Federation is a mature multi-academy trust (MAT) with a family of over 20 academies in the South West of England.

The fundamental mission of the CLF is that its work will bear the hallmarks of excellence in all that it does in supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.  We are now seeking a Finance professional to join our expanding central finance team who shares our deep-rooted moral purpose, with a passion for transforming the lives of pupils.  You will be joining our finance team at an exciting time, as we continue to expand our team and implement a new finance system.

What we are looking for:

You will be part of a team, with responsibility for providing business partnering support to a mix of primary and secondary academies.

Working closely with Finance Managers and academy staff, you will be an excellent communicator, confident in explaining financial information to non-finance staff. To be successful in the post, you will have the ability to build excellent working relationships with both central and academy-based staff. You will be comfortable working with complexity, and able to analyse data to inform decision making. As part of the Central Finance Team, the post of Management Accountant will include a broad range of duties but with a clear focus on month end reporting and academy support.

Reporting to a Finance Manager, you will be based centrally with occasional visits to academies. You will provide professional capacity to the Finance Manager Team and support academies in a varied and wide-ranging role, ensuring effective management and reporting. You will provide support in the resolution of financial issues to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.

You will have access to our generous benefits package including excellent annual leave entitlement, access to our pension scheme and a number of other well-being benefits. You will be working within a large multi-academy trust which provides dedicated training programmes and the opportunity to gain experience within other departments and CLF functions.
