Contract: Fixed until 31/08/2025

Hours: 20 (hours can be flexible and can be discussed at interview - opportunity to increase the hours as the need grows)


Salary: Grade E (£33,450 - £37,129) FTE

Actual Salary: (£15,482 - £17,185)

What we are looking for:

Under the guidance of the senior leadership team, the Pastoral & Safeguarding Lead will provide high quality, impartial, solutions focussed pastoral support and guidance to students and their families. They will act as the main point of contact with lead responsibility within the academy for safeguarding and child protection in line with statutory requirements. The postholder will enable students to achieve their full potential, raise aspirations and facilitate academic progress.

They will be expected to work in partnership with parents to strengthen parental capacity, promote understanding of their child’s needs, improve family relationships and increase parental engagement. The postholder will lead in facilitating the development of safeguarding policies, guidance, training, and procedures for the academy.  They will evaluate training provided, ensure compliance, and ensure that safeguarding is embedded in the culture of the academy.

Safeguarding and pre-employment checks:
