Job Title: Year 11 Raising Standards Leader

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: M1- UPS3 £30,000-£46,525) + TLR 2BB £7,308

We are looking for a Year 11 Raising Standards Leader to join our supportive and talented team at Winterstoke Hundred Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.

We are looking for a Raising Standards Leader who will be a highly committed professional with a high level of emotional intelligence. The Raising Standards Leader will share our passion to deliver an outstanding student experience and have the ability to deliver outstanding results. They will be an excellent communicator and an effective leader. They will be innovative, creative and flexible in their approach, to achieve the best results. 

Accountable to the Assistant Principal, the responsibilities of the Raising Standards Leader will include: 

  • Working in a leadership team with other Raising Standards Leaders and SLT to provide strategic leadership and direction to a year group and effective day to day management of the cohort. 
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of learning and teaching and progress towards targets in the year group. 
  • Increase the number of students with a positive progress 8 within the year group. Narrowing the gap between students within identified key groups and students not in those groups (e.g. pupil premium and non-pupil premium, SEND and no SEN) 
  • Increasing the standard of achievement of all students, ensuring student attainment is at least in line with academy targets. 
  • Lead on standards and the academic attainment and progress of an identified year group. This will require the Raising Standards Leader to work alongside and collaboratively with Pastoral Leaders. 

The Raising Standards Leader will be a member of the Extended Leadership Team and will contribute to, and benefit from, an extensive network of high quality, committed professionals working towards a common aim of improving the life chances of every student we serve and where possible having an impact that extends beyond your own setting.
