We are looking for an ambitious and inspiring Senior Lead for Learning and Teaching to join our supportive and talented team at Snowdon Village. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.

This position is required on a one-year fixed term contract ending on 31/08/2023.

Snowdon Village is the term used to describe a family of schools that sit within the Cabot Learning Federation. We currently have 4 schools namely, The Nest, Engage, Bristol Futures Academy and City School (2 small sites).

Our schools are alternative provisions, and we provide education to students (ages 4 – 16) who have been excluded from mainstream schools or who have specific learning needs which mean they find it difficult to cope in a mainstream setting.

Snowdon Village is proud to be the first school in Bristol recognised and awarded with Trauma Informed and Mental Health School status. We are looking for an experienced leader who has a good understanding of trauma and adverse childhood experiences and is able to support our children whilst maintaining high expectations around academic outcomes.

Your opportunity:

We can offer you the opportunity to advance your career within a supportive academy environment. We provide excellent training and development opportunities within the Federation, including a full induction programme for newly qualified and experienced teachers. Training is both local and/or delivered through our excellent stand-alone training facility at the CLF Institute. For teachers, the CLF Institute aims to provide a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT), for early career teachers (ECT), recently qualified teachers in their early career development, to successive stages of leadership through to Headship and beyond.

What we are looking for:

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to undertake an Assistant Principal role within the Cabot Learning Federation. You will work positively with the Principal and Vice Principal to identify priorities and opportunities for academy improvement that support the achievement of outstanding outcomes. You will also lead on the delivery of one of an academy’s strategic aims and rigorously ensure that the academy’s systems are working smoothly and effectively on a day to day basis. You will be an inspiring leader who, through leading by example, will promote high expectations and support the delivery of high attainment for all students. You will be an effective team player who is dynamic, creative and able to play a significant role in the strategic direction and development of the academy.
