Job Title: Senior Premises Assistant

Annual Salary: £28,859 - £31,111 (CLF Grade C) 

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Provisional Start Date: TBC, depending on completion of pre employment checks 


As Senior Premises Assistant, you’ll play a key part in keeping a large, busy site running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Working closely with the Premises Manager, you’ll behands-on in every aspect of site management including repairs, compliance and security —through your high standards you’ll be a part of creating a secure, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for staff, students, and visitors alike.

About you:

  • Experience of maintenance or of working in facilities management
  • Ability to deputise for the Premises Manager and make decisions about work priorities
  • Ability to undertake and understand risk assessments.• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • .Ability to work to set deadlines but also flexible and adaptable to deal with ad-hoc issues as they arise.
  • Ability to induct, work with and supervise contractors.
  • Ability to source suppliers and contractors
  • Experience of carrying out planned preventative maintenance or willingness to learn
  • Ability to understand site related reports i.e., asbestos, H&S audit, Fire Risk Assessments, Water Risk Assessments, etc.
  • Good IT skills – able to use Microsoft Office Programs
