We are looking for a Science Technician to join our supportive and talented team at Monkton Wood Academy in Taunton. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.

This opportunity to offered on a Part Time basis working 28 hours per week - Term time only, plus 5 inset days per year plus one week in the holidays. We are reasonably flexible how the hours can be spread across the week, this can be 4 full days or 5 shorter days.

What we are looking for: 

To be successful in the post, we are looking for a Senior Science Technician who will support with the practical and technical aspects of the Science curriculum.  They will design, prepare, provide, maintain and manage the necessary resources and information required to enable healthy, safe and engaging practical activities to be undertaken by staff and students.  They will ensure that Consortium of Local Education Authorities for the Provision of Science Services (CLEAPSS) guidelines and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations are adhered to at all times. They will take a role in the organising and development of Science Technicians.
