Student Councellor

Hours: Part time, term time only + 5 Inset days.

Working Pattern: One day a week, 7.5 hours.

Start Date: April 2024

We are looking for a Student Counsellor to join our supportive and talented team at Digitech Studio School. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.  

Digitech Studio School has been on an enormous improvement journey in the last four years which has seen outcomes consistently improve year on year with all indicators. The academy is truly comprehensive with a real mix of prior attainment on entry and a growing number of students with SEND and a higher than average number of students in receipt of pupil premium funding. The academy is diverse in its intake and proud that we serve all of the families in our community. There is real pride from colleagues that they work at Digitech Studio School and contribute to a cause greater than themselves. 

What we are looking for: 

To be successful in this post, we are looking for someone to provide a professional and confidential, solutions focussed counselling service to students experiencing a wide range of psychological and emotional issues.  Promote emotional health and well‐being to enable young people to access academy life. Develop student resilience to support them to cope with any challenges they face.  Assist colleagues to develop skills and strategies to support students.
