Job Title: Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages

Actual Annual Salary: £26,332 - £36,281 (M1 to M6) based on four days per week

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £32,916 - £45,352 (M1 to M6) 

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Part Time - Four days per week (0.8)

Additional Information: This role is offered over four days. At this time, we expect the non-working day to be a Thursday, but this may change once the 26/27 timetable has been finalised. This can be discussed at interview.

Kingsmead Academy in Wiveliscombe, Somerset are seeking an inspirational Modern Foreign Languages Teacher, who will bring a genuine passion for delivering exceptional language learning experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to use your talents to play a key part in championing the success and life chances of every pupil within our trust.

Working as part of a well established and supportive MFL team in our rural secondary school, you will be a teacher of French and Spanish to KS3 and KS4 students.

About you:

You will be:

  • a qualified teacher or hold an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • able to deliver the curriculum in your chosen area and consistently teach high quality lessons across relevant key stages.
  • able to meet the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and High Attaining students.
  • a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change, motivate colleagues and build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • able to recognise, value and support the delivery of opportunities which extend beyond the confines of classroom delivery and seek to enrich and add value to the students experience & learning.
  • empowered to develop your own expert practice and support the development of others.
