What we are looking for:
Hans Price Academy in Weston Super Mare are looking for a passionate and inspiring qualified Teacher of PE to join our supportive and talented team. We are a growing organisation, looking for professional, ambitious people with a passion for transforming our students’ learning. The successful candidate will teach a range of different sports/activities and provide young people with an opportunity to develop and improve physical literacy. This role will also include an element of teaching Health and Social Care as an examination subject at Key Stage 4.
Hans Price Academy is a forward-thinking Academy based in Weston-Super-Mare. The Academy provides education to a rising cohort of around 1050 students at KS3/KS4 from September. The children at Hans Price Academy are excited to learn and are real ambassadors for our increasingly diverse community. They benefit from a hugely positive and supportive learning environment housed in excellent, modern facilities. The Academy has retained its ‘Good’ judgement following our 2018 Ofsted Inspection. The report states that ‘The school is increasingly the school of choice for local parents and carers because leaders have established a culture of learning and high aspiration’.

We provide excellent training and development opportunities within the Federation, including a full induction programme for early career and experienced teachers. Training is both local and/or delivered through our excellent stand-alone training facility at the CLF Institute. For teachers, the CLF Institute aims to provide a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT), for early career teachers (ECT), recently qualified teachers in their early career development, to successive stages of leadership through to Headship and beyond.
What we are looking for:
Teachers support a designated cohort of students to make progress in their learning, engagement, core literacy, language and numeracy skills, and social development. This is achieved through taking responsibility for the learning of students - planning, delivering, facilitating and assessing their learning whilst showing ambition to develop as an outstanding teacher and leader. They will plan and deliver sessions and interventions, and provide a point of accountability, co-ordination and liaison for the students in their attendance, for their families and for professionals working with them. They will work towards typically good and outstanding lessons that achieve good student progress over time. This will be actioned by taking an active role in supporting the Academy’s high expectations of student behaviour and attitudes towards learning.
