As the ‘Further Education College of the year 2019’, Sandwell College are currently looking to appoint an Assessor/Trainer in Electrical Engineering to join our Engineering department. Reporting into the Head of Section you’ll covering the West Midlands and surrounding areas on a full time, permanent basis.

You will be responsible for the training and assessment of a caseload of learners and ensure that course related documentation is maintained to a high standard. You will observe learners and complete observations of level 2 learners and record work relevant to this qualification.

To be successful, you will hold an NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering. Hold the relevant assessor qualification and also be able to demonstrate your experience of working within the industry. You’ll also hold or will be working towards a D32/33/A1/TAQA qualification. Finally you’ll possess the ability to translate your practice to our learners and have the motivation to inspire them to exceed their goals.
