Sandwell College is a great place to work; a large, successful, richly diverse and growing college with a turnover of over in excess of £40m. Having achieved ‘Further Education College of the year’ in 2019, the College has achieved huge success over recent years and has further, big ambitions for its future.

The college has two state of the art campuses in West Bromwich accessible through excellent transport links and, having merged with Cadbury College, now has an exciting and growing Sixth Form College in the heart of Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be a driven, ambitious individual who will support new and existing projects, providing all-round administration and coordination support, developing, and implementing strategies, identifying key areas for improvement, and supporting senior management with new initiatives.

You will be highly articulate, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines. With a polished and professional outlook, you will have excellent command of grammar and punctuation with strong IT capabilities and an exceptional telephone manner with the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will also hold experience of organising and managing a range of activities and plans and have a proactive approach thinking ahead for those managers you are supporting.

This is a key role in providing an effective secretarial support function for the College’s Senior Leadership Team, taking independent and pro-active action where appropriate and in a fully-professional manner. The ideal candidate will be driven and professional individual who works well within a team as well as autonomously and able to use their own initiative prioritising their own workloads.

This would be a great opportunity for an individual with experience in a PA, EA or events focussed role to take on a role that involves a high level of responsibility and drive. If you are highly motivated, hardworking and reliable, we would love to hear from you.
