Volunteer opportunities across Sandwell and Cadbury College sites.

Volunteers from areas local to West Bromwich and Kings Norton are needed to help support the Governments response to the COVID-19 pandemic as part of a national testing programme. Schools and Colleges are required to set-up testing centres on their sites over the coming weeks and are asking for the help of their communities to do so.

This testing will play an important role in keeping communities safe and will enhance the response to Covid-19. By testing our College community, we are hoping to protect more staff and students allowing them to continue effectively with their teaching and learning.

There are a range of volunteering opportunities involving:

• Helping people to register on arrival

• Providing reassurance and a friendly face

• Giving out information and answering questions

• Processing tests

• Helping to manage the flow of people and guide them around sites, keeping everyone safe and ensuring the sites are well run

Applications are welcomed from those who are great with people, have a friendly and approachable manner have good administrative skills and want to play their part in helping to keep communities safer.

The health and safety of all volunteers will be of paramount importance. COVID-19 safety measures will be in place and guidance will be applied at all times. Appropriate PPE will also be issued to volunteers.

If you would like to play a part in this important work whilst giving something back to your local community please email with your details and location.

Expressions of interest are particularly welcomed from those who have worked with children and young people and hold enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Please do state if you currently hold an enhanced DBS when contacting the HR department.
