We are looking for a hard-working individual to join our school as a cover supervisor.
Caldicot is an 11-18 co-educational school with around 1400 students based in Monmouthshire. The school is ideally situated between Chepstow and Newport, providing ease of access via the M4 corridor and on the northern side of the Severn Estuary. In 2017, Caldicot moved into a new £36m purpose-built site and now boast some of the finest educational facilities in the country. However, Caldicot is more than just an amazing building. Our aim is to ensure that students receive a high quality education which enables them to lead a successful life beyond school. To enable this, we believe all students should achieve the best results they are capable of; develop a broad set of transferrable skills which will equip them for adult life; while nurturing a core set of values which will help them become active citizens in our local and wider community. About the role
This is an additional, temporary role, funded as part of the Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) Grant offered by Welsh Government to support students to ‘catch up’ their learning missed as a result of the forced closure last academic year. The role is offered on a fixed-term contract until 31st August 2021 as it is entirely reliant on the additional funding offered to the school. However, should further funding be made available then an extension may be possible.
