Hours: 37 hours a week
Monday and Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Tuesday and Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm
Wednesday 8.30am – 5.00pm
We require applicants who can drive and who are prepared to drive our school vehicles.

The Cambian Group is the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities. Grateley House is growing and as we expand our offer, we are seeing to appoint committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join and support our dedicated team.
Grateley House is a successful 38-week school, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, for young people, aged 11 – 19, with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, typically, high functioning and/or with associated disorders.
The school currently has 36 students on roll; however, this will increase over the next three years as the school embarks on an exciting period of growth.
We offer a broad, balanced, challenging and relevant curriculum, rooted in the National Curriculum, delivered by an experienced and dedicated staff team. Our aim is to fully prepare our students for successful lives beyond Grateley House.
About the role
This is a rewarding role, well suited to individuals who are motivated by a desire to support children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs. The role also provides valuable experience for those who are considering a career in teaching. The successful candidate will receive full training and continuous support.
The main focus of this role will be to:
Support students in lessons and during non-structured time;
Assist the teacher in the preparation of work, resources and equipment for lessons;
Support students during on and off-site activities as appropriate;
Complete required paperwork to record observations and interventions.
What are we looking for in you?
Previous experience of working with young people in a classroom environment would be desirable, but not essential as training will be provided;
You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths;
