The Governors and Headteacher of Peter Lea Primary School are delighted to announce a rare and exciting opportunity to join our brand new Specialist Resource Base (SRB) as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a unique chance to help shape a brand new provision from the very beginning and make a meaningful difference to the lives of children with complex additional learning needs.

About the Role
- Support high quality teaching and learning tailored to individual needs.
- Deliver planned learning activities for individuals and small groups.
- Take responsibility for leading learning during teacher planned release time.
- Work closely with the Class Teacher, Teaching Assistants, Lead Teacher and external specialists.
- Promote inclusion by ensuring pupils remain connected to the wider school community.
- Build strong, positive relationships with families to support children’s development.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated, resilient and inspiring HLTA who:
- Has experience supporting pupils with ALN in a mainstream or specialist setting.
- Is committed to play based, sensory rich and experiential learning.
- Demonstrates empathy, patience and excellent communication skills.
- Can work as part of a dedicated, caring and collaborative team.
- (Desirable) Has experience or knowledge of early childhood development.
