Overview

The school is forward thinking and always looking for ways to develop partnerships with other Post 16 providers and seeking out opportunities to enhance the learning and progression of our pupils. Our 'Hub' is a base where pupils can seek information, advice and guidance and work independently. In addition to the Level 3 specialism, pupils can continue with their English and Maths to reach a C grade and all are expected to participate in a university progression module.

About Us

Carr Manor Community School is a forward thinking school in North East Leeds that has made significant progress over recent years in improving outcomes for pupils. We became a Through School in September 2012 for children aged 4-18. Providing an inclusive and caring environment, we take pride in knowing our children well and in providing substantial support to pupils and colleagues to enable effective teaching and learning. The school emphasises teaching, learning and good behaviour. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people, staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

In September 2006 we moved into a new multi-million pound building that provides excellent learning and sporting facilities, including rugby/football pitches, Multi Use Games Area, all weather pitch, athletics track, fully equipped sports hall and fitness suite. Carr Manor Community School has a very inclusive and diverse pupil population. We take pride in personalising the curriculum and learning experience for pupils as far as possible and in working towards the following 3 key aims: - Know our children well - Enjoy and achieve - Partners in learning We deploy a number of innovative strategies to help pupil progress and achievement across all curriculum subjects, for example our Critical Skills Programme, House System and Coaching Programme. We are committed to a Restorative Practices culture across the school community and we are continually developing the use of technology in teaching.
