We are looking to recruit a dedicated LSA, who has a good understanding of working with children with additional needs, to support a child on a 1:1 basis on 3 days each week (8:40am – 3:15pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the first instance but this is subject to change on an annual basis). This role will be working 16.74 hours per week and is a fixed term contract for one year until 31 August 2022, subject to funding.
The successful candidates will need:
• A good standard of education/ three or more GCSEs including maths and English at Grade C minimum or L2 literacy and numeracy
• Working towards NVQ/VRQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Some experience of successfully supporting children
• Creative and good at thinking ‘outside the box’
• An ability to adapt and respond to the needs of the children
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate with the year group team and parents and children
Desirable:
• Some experience of successfully supporting children with SEN needs
