The Priory Learning Trust (Somerset Business Award winner for Employer of the Year 2023) is looking to recruit a Lunchtime Supervisor to work within our Speech & Language Base at our Castle Batch Primary School Academy in Worle. This position is for five days a week (Monday - Friday) from 12:10 - 13:10.
We are seeking a warm, compassionate, and supportive individual to join our school. This role involves supervising and interacting with children during playtime, promoting healthy eating habits, recognising positive behaviour and social skills, and fostering meaningful relationships.
As part of this role, you will;
- Oversee children at lunchtime and lead play activities.
- Listen to the children and encourage their play, but also has the necessary skills to maintain discipline in the playground.
- Promote student well-being by encouraging them to develop good relationships with others, develop their self-reliance and self-esteem.
- Help children to practice good standards of personal health and hygiene.
The successful candidate will have;
- Good interpersonal skills with both adults and children.
- Understanding of the developmental needs of children.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- First Aid qualification desirable but not essential.
- Experience of working with children desirable but not essential.

This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
