We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional to join our student support team as a cover supervisor, to play a vital role in the school. Covering for short periods of absence is a rewarding job and one that provides valuable experiences in the classroom especially if you are looking for a stepping stone in order to get into teaching. You will be able to gain satisfaction from helping students meet their aspirational targets as well as offer them pastoral links as a tutor.

You will need confidence, with the ability to inspire and enthuse our students, so that they maintain their learning in the absence of their regular teacher.

You will need good interpersonal and organisational skills to lead planned lessons, with the ability to relate to the young people in our school.

If you can embrace a challenge, we will give you fantastic support and the opportunity to work with a team of energetic and enthusiastic colleagues. You will be able to gain satisfaction from helping students meet their aspirational targets as well as offer them pastoral links as a tutor.

We will offer you:

• A programme of training and development for the next stage in your career;

• Well-resourced classrooms and equipment. All staff have an iPad, as do the majority of our students. We are passionate about embedding and making best use of technology within our lessons to enhance our curriculum delivery;

• The opportunity to work within a supportive team of diligent and excellent teachers who have a wealth of expertise and experience and where innovation is fostered through faculty centred leadership;

• A range of benefits which includes cycle to work, free parking, an employee discount scheme, provision of an iPad, a commitment to staff wellbeing and recognition initiatives through the Trust’s people strategy and well-being committee;

• A strong and effective admin team to enable you to concentrate on your teaching.

You will be joining a school where staff share best practice so that our standard of teaching and support is both high quality and continually developing.

This is an exciting time to join us. We are part of Castle Phoenix Multi Academy Trust which specialises in leadership and is committed to invest in and develop all staff and, most importantly, bring about the best possible outcomes for our students who deserve the very best.
