Cefn Saeson School is a very successful learning community serving Cimla, Tonna and central Neath.
Applications are invited for the above post from 1st September 2025 up to 31st August 2026 in the first instance.
We wish to appoint a highly effective teacher to join this successful History department. The ideal candidate will have proven successful teaching practices, together with recent successful experience at Key stage 3 and in teaching History to Key stage 4.
Applicants will be committed to enhancing pupils’ experiences using a variety of teaching and learning styles and will be expected to make a contribution not only to the History department, Humanities AoLE but also to the school as a whole. Knowledge of the new curriculum will be required as a necessity.
You will have an interest and expertise in the use of ICT as an aid to teaching and learning, and a commitment to enhancing pupil experiences beyond the classroom. This would then complement the skills and expertise of the existing team. You should have the drive and ambition to seek to develop yourself and the department and have the long-term goal of aiding in leading the History department.
This post will provide an excellent opportunity for practitioners to develop their experience in a dynamic environment, committed to the professional development of all staff.
