Temporary Teacher of Maths & PE at Hillside Children’s Secure Home

Salary: MPS plus Secure Unit Allowance
Hours: 27.5 hours Monday to Friday
The Governing Body of Cefn Saeson Comprehensive School wish to appoint a Teacher of Maths / PE for Hillside Children's Secure Home. The post is temporary up to 31st August 2026 in the first instance.
Candidates should have experience of teaching Maths and PE. Candidates are also required to have experience of teaching children with additional learning needs and SEBD.
Hillside is a Trauma Informed Provision that is child centred and focused.
Hillside need someone with enthusiasm, a ‘can do’ mentality, an ability to inspire and motivate others as well as being compassionate and caring. The person should be flexible in their approach, willing to learn and be capable of implementing a broad and balanced curriculum. The person will be part of a highly collaborative dynamic team, and the candidate will be expected to contribute to the design and implementation of the curriculum, including standards and outcomes; teaching and learning as well as being a pupil mentor.
The post holder will have responsibility for a specific brief - leading on Maths, PE and Numeracy. They will have opportunities to broaden their experiences by working with an innovative, passionate and professional group of staff.
The post is not appropriate for NQT’s.
