We are seeking a proactive and organised Nursery Administrator to join our friendly team at Hillcroft Primary School on a one-year fixed-term contract. Working closely with the Senior Office Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of all nursery-related administrative tasks. From managing admissions and funding processes to handling communications and day-to-day paperwork, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a busy and welcoming school environment.
Your Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised and proactive individual to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of Hillcroft Primary School’s nursery. Under the guidance of the Senior Office Administrator, you will be involved in a wide range of administrative duties, from supporting nursery admissions and managing funding processes to maintaining accurate records and assisting with Local Authority submissions. You will also help with marketing nursery places, liaising with prospective families, and ensuring compliance with current early years funding and staffing requirements. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, detail-focused, and eager to contribute positively to a supportive and busy school environment.

- Strong administrative background, ideally with experience in a school or nursery setting
- Excellent IT skills and confidence using digital systems and spreadsheets
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- A confident and professional communicator, able to interact effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Trustworthy and discreet, with a strong understanding of the need for confidentiality
- Adaptable and calm under pressure, able to manage multiple tasks and respond to changing priorities

About Hillcroft Primary, part of the Chalklands Cluster

Salary: GLF Associate 2 - £22,918.66
Actual Salary: £8,215.32 (based on 15hrs per week)
Hours of work: 15 hours per week (term time only - 39 weeks per year)
