Contract: Permanent

Salary: £37,870 to £49,978 (MPS1 to 6) - Outer London (pending pay award)

Hours: Full time - 32.5 hours, 39 weeks, term time only

Start date: 1st September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic primary school teacher to join our vibrant and supportive school community which has been recognised by Ofsted as Outstanding in all areas.

Are you:

  • Looking to join a supportive school community with children who are kind, eager to learn, and proud of their talents?
  • Interested in working in a school that values staff wellbeing, offering Westfield Health cover (including medical, dental, and optical) for all staff?
  • A teacher who can inspire a love and enjoyment of learning amongst our children, our parents and our highly committed and talented staff team?

About Us

Our vision at Chase Bridge is for all children to excel at learning, express their talents and care for others. In March 2025 our school was judged by Ofsted as being Outstanding in every category. Our report is downloadable to read. We are a thriving three form entry Community Primary and Nursery School in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames situated next to the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham with onsite parking and a positive budget for the next 3 years.

We provide a learning environment where children feel secure, are confident and at the same time, challenged to explore and understand the world around them. Our aim is for the children to achieve their full potential; be safe and happy; develop a love of learning; and the skills of independence to make informed choices.

We place huge importance on the emotional wellbeing of our staff, children and wider community. As an outward-facing school, we are proud to partner and support other schools in developing their own wellbeing and mental health strategies. Having achieved our Attachment Aware Schools Award, we take great pride in our appointed role as MHST Cluster Lead, where we work in partnership with primary, secondary and special schools across Richmond, impacting the lives of over 7,000 children and staff.

The role

This position is suitable for ECTs, newly qualified teachers or experienced teachers. Chase Bridge is a very popular and successful school. We take pride in our children excelling at learning whilst being exposed to a broad curriculum and a range of exciting opportunities in sports, music and art. We are looking for applicants that have a clear vision of excellent practice, a commitment to raising standards and who have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

We asked our children what they would like in a new teacher and they said they are looking for someone who:

  • understands us as individuals and listens to everyone;
  • makes the learning enjoyable;
  • boosts our confidence;
  • encourages us and is approachable; and
  • is good at explaining and helping.

If you believe you can deliver on our children’s expectations, we hope you will be in touch.

In return, we offer:

  • an established and supportive leadership team;
  • a school that has a firm commitment to professional development and career progression;
  • a school community that is research focused and where the learning of adults is as important as the learning of children;
  • a rewarding and special place to work where staff are passionate about providing a broad curriculum for all children;
  • a parent community who are engaged and supportive of the school and their child’s education;
  • a well-resourced school set in extensive grounds as well as on site car parking available for the convenience of our staff; and
  • access to the Westfield Health Cover and Teacher Pension Scheme.

Closing / short-listing date: noon on 17th April. Interviews are expected to be held on 24th April with a view to the successful candidate starting in September.

Please note that all applications will be considered upon receipt and for an exceptional candidate an appointment may be made before the closing date. Therefore, it is recommended that if you wish to apply for this position you do so as soon as possible. CVs will not be accepted.
