We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our growing team at Cheadle Hulme High School. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in supporting students with a variety of learning needs. You'll work alongside teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support, and empower students to reach their full potential.

You will play a vital role in enhancing students' progress whilst promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.

This position is contracted on a 31 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks. Please note this position could be based at any of our schools in the Stockport area.

Job Purpose (For further details on the role, please see the Job Description below)

  • Work with Teachers to enhance student progress, whilst also promoting their independence, self esteem and Social inclusion.
  • Support identified students within the classroom environment, within small group situations and on a one to one basis

Key Skills and Experiences

  • Sound Educational background including GCSE's in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
  • Experience of working with young people who are vulnerable and/or who have a special educational needs
  • Experience working in a school environment would be an advantage
