We are seeking to appoint a committed, caring, flexible and resilient professional to provide wholesome, nutritious meals to our students and staff. This role will be based in our Willow Bank School in Eyres Monsell. Our students are too poorly to attend their mainstream school, principally due to mental health and / or extreme anxiety issues. We may also have students who are being supported by the Eating Disorder Team.

You will be wholly responsible for the menus, purchasing, preparing and cooking for between 20 – 40 meals per day at lunchtime. We also provide a breakfast buffet along with homecooked sweet and savoury snacks at breaktime. Hours of work are 7.30 am until 3.30 pm over 40 weeks per academic year.

You will be working mainly alone managing the school kitchen to Safer Food Better Business (SFBB) Environmental Health Guidelines however, you will be supported by a part-time Kitchen Assistant who works from 12 midday – 2 pm daily.

You would be joining the school at a very exciting time and will be able to make a significant contribution to the future direction and development of this unique learning environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any individuals seeking a fresh challenge and autonomous role within a highly rewarding environment. If you are an enthusiastic, professional and proactive individual then we would love to hear from you.

The Children’s Hospital School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance and enhanced checks carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
