Contracted Hrs: 30 Hours per week

Working Wks: Term Time + Inset Days (39 wks)

Grade: Grade 5, Pts 7 to 8

Salary: £14,756 to £15,026 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join Church Hill Infant School on a fixed term basis until 26th August 2024, working 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday -Friday. We are looking for someone who is friendly, approachable and reliable, with a good sense of humour.

The Learning Support Assistant is responsible for providing support to pupils within our EYFS setting, ensuring they can access the school curriculum and engage in all aspects of school life. We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive individual who has an understanding of how to support children with different needs and ideally who has experience working with children in EYFS.

The post holder will need to be flexible as the role may require working with different team members and different groups of children. We are looking for someone who is patient and has positive attitude, along with a good sense of humour.

This role is a rewarding one with a successful candidate having the opportunity to positively develop and encourage our pupils in both their academic and social life. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become part of a strong and experienced Early Years team.

 The ideal candidate will have:

• An NVQ Level 2 qualification in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent

• Experience of working in a school based Early Years setting

• Experience of supporting SEN in an educational setting

• Knowledge of various health or SEND conditions and needs, e.g. diabetes, autism, ADHD etc

• Good literacy and numeracy skills

• The ability to contribute to the progression of learning
