An exciting opportunity has arisen for an adaptable and creative individual to teach in our successful Law department!

You may have a strong background in teaching AL Law, Sociology, or Politics or perhaps looking to move into teaching from the legal sector, whether this be from a solicitors, courtroom, human resources department, Police force, or an industry where legalities are applied in practice. If this is the case, we would like to hear from you.

Here at Cirencester College, we run the OCR AL Law course as part of our level three offering. We also deliver AL Sociology and the willingness to teach across both these subjects, in particular, would be advantageous.

After good results in 2025, we want a highly motivated and student-centred practitioner to join our team and to contribute to the continued success of the department. Could you inspire the next generation of Legal professionals to thrive and succeed?

The role entails:

Teaching to a high standard and developing student’s skills and confidence to succeed.

Working collaboratively with an experienced Law and social sciences team.

Playing a full role as a member of the Faculty and College community

Providing pastoral support for students if your role includes being a personal tutor

Candidates should have a commitment to post compulsory education at FE and be motivated to achieve high standards in teaching and learning.  The ability to work well within a team and to adapt to curriculum demands is essential. Candidates will be committed to the Cirencester College mission and vision and be able to demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines in a demanding environment. The College is supportive of new entrants into teaching and provide professional development onsite.

Closing Date: 19th May, noon

Interviews from: w/c 8th June 2026.  We reserve the right to interview prior to this date.
