SEND Transition and Review Lead

Required As soon as possible

Support Salary range 41-43: £25,545-£28,378

Contract: Full time, Permanent Contract

Cirencester College is recruiting an experienced SEND Transition and Review Lead to join the Academic & Learning Support team. This is a rare opportunity for you to join an outstanding department with an excellent reputation.

We are looking for someone who has experience and good understanding of the processes around the transition and review of high needs students, ideally in Post 16 education. The successful candidate will also have experience of supervising a team and have the skills to develop and motivate staff.

You will be expected to:

• Liaise with feeder schools and attend annual reviews of potential year 10 students.

• Work with the College’s School Liaison Officer to organise taster visits and meetings with key staff

• Support the Head of Adult Learning & Education Support to oversee the SEND consultation process and ensure compliance within the 15-day deadline

• Facilitate the statutory annual review process for our learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP), engaging with learners, their parents/carers and any associated external stakeholders and agencies, to coordinate a person-centred review of progress towards outcomes. You will collate information gathered from academic tutors and other education support functions associated with an individual learner.

• Support the Head of Adult Learning & Education Support in the day-to-day running of college in-class support and supervise and co-ordinate the work of the Learning Support Team, acting as key contact and decision maker
